Facilities
Cromarty Harbour offers safe berthing and is unique in the local area in that the harbour is navigatible and accessible in all tides. However it is fair to say that there can be occassions where as the tide waxes and wanes around high tide that the through current can be challenging to visitors and locals alike. Once in the harbour we have a berthing are on the starboard side for large commercial vessels and a pontoon area on the port side where you will immediately find the visitor berth.
If you are a visiting with a vessel it is important that you book ahead as spaces are limited. If advance booking has not be possible we might still be able to accommodate you but you must telephone the Harbourmaster, details on the home page).
Access to and from the pontoon area is via a secure gate; we will give you the code on completing a successful booking. Visitors are also able to access toilets, showers and washing machine facilities in the Boat Tower to the left as you exit from the pontoon gate.
CCTV is in operation and electricity and water are available for use (fees apply).
Cromarty Harbour is a working harbour but it promotes open access and other than the pontoon area, the public is free to roam although we would ask that you be careful around the uneven surfaces and to avoid restricted areas, which are clearly marked.
